Studio Policy

Lessons by Lyle Michaud follows a “Seasons” model, which takes the estimated number of Lessons conducted in a year and divides it evenly by four, paid in 12 monthly equal payments. Each Season consists of approximately 11 weekly 60-minute or 45-minute Lessons in the Studio. Upon enrollment, the Client is directed to www.lylemichaud.com/register where they register for their Subscription of choice. Tuition is then paid online with a credit card or bank account, and automatically renews. The Client can manage their payment and subscription settings by logging into their Customer Account on www.lylemichaud.com. If a Client wishes to unenroll, they must provide at least four weeks written notice, during which paid lessons will continue to be conducted, unless the Client choses to forfeit any paid lessons in the final month of enrollment.

Enrollment begins when the Client confirms the selection of an open slot that’s been offered to them by the Instructor. If no slots are currently available, the Applicant will be placed on a Waitlist, and as new openings become available, the Instructor will contact Applicants on the Waitlist to offer slots. Upon enrollment, Clients will purchase the required learning materials: this metronome, these music flashcards, and any other books or materials indicated by the Instructor.

If the Client cancels a Lesson, the Client is not eligible for a refund and is not guaranteed a make up Lesson. If a Client is absent more than 15 minutes into their scheduled Lesson time without having given prior notice, the Instructor reserves the right to consider that Lesson to be cancelled by the Client. If the Client provides notice that they will be late for a Lesson, that Lesson will still end at the scheduled time. If the Instructor cancels a Lesson on any date that the Studio is normally open, it is up to the Instructor to reimburse the Client the Refund Value of $80/60-Minute Lesson or $60/45-Minute Lesson. Tuition rates are subject to change. The Client will be informed of any rate changes before the next billing cycle. The current rates can be found at www.lylemichaud.com/register.

Studio days of operation are designed to coincide closely with local school district calendars. Lessons are not scheduled, charged, refunded, or rescheduled on or due to these holidays in the 2023-2024 school year:
